Emma and Zach’s Winter Maternity and Newborn Portraits in Durango, Colorado

Even without fresh snow, winter in Durango still gave us that unmistakable mountain magic for Emma and Zach’s maternity portraits. The white aspen trunks, soft winter light, and layered mountain backdrop created such a peaceful, timeless setting—proof that you don’t need snow for winter portraits in southwest Colorado to feel beautiful and seasonal. Later, we welcomed them into my studio in Durango for newborn portraits with baby Colette, where everything was prepared for a relaxed experience: I provide all the wraps, headbands, props, a warm cozy space, white noise, a changing table, snacks, a comfortable couch, and even a kitchen area so Emma and Zach could settle in and enjoy the process while I photographed every tiny detail of their new baby. ✨🏔️🍼
