Nikki and Peter’s wedding in August at Dante’s Peak gave us a beautiful surprise from the skies! Dante’s Peak is a great venue for a summer wedding because even when those afternoon showers roll in, there is a beautiful indoor ceremony area with gorgeous views of the mountains at Purgatory Ski Resort. Nikki and Peter started their ceremony outside but the rain started to come down so their officiant summed it up quickly and everyone retreated indoors. They were then able to continue their ceremony inside and even got a second wedding kiss out of it. After that, the rain let up (showers are so short here in Durango), and we resumed portraits outside. This wedding really showcases the options for all kind of weather at Dante’s Peak.    I make the wedding photography process extremely easy for my couples. I will guide you from start to finish and provide you with advice, vendor recommendations, and help you with your itinerary so that you will have the best lighting and locations for your bride and groom portraits.

• How do we reserve our date with you? Is there a deposit?

  You will receive a link to book your wedding photography package online. You will pay a $500 retainer fee to hold your wedding date and that amount is applied toward your total package price. 6 months before your wedding, 50% of your package is due. 30 days before your wedding, your remaining balance is due. You will receive invoices to pay each of these payments conveniently online.

• How long does it take to get our photos?

  Your wedding photos will be ready within 6-8 weeks. You will receive a link to your online gallery where you can download all the photos, share, and order prints. A sneak peek is often sent about 1 week after your wedding.

• How many photos will we get?

  I usually deliver between 50-75 photos per hour of photography.

• How long have you been photographing weddings?

  I’ve been photographing weddings since 2010. I have probably captured over 300 weddings.

• Do you have experience working in various lighting situations?

  With over 14 years of wedding photography experience, I’ve seen it all, from pitch black outdoor receptions, and creative and colorful indoor lighting, to bright sun or heavy snow storms. I bring 3 portable lights with me that allow me to get create my own light no matter what I run into.
